Chevy Silverado EV Work Truck with Max Range battery has more range than any other EV, Edmunds test finds
The editorial team at Edmunds maintains a list of the electric vehicles with the longest range. They compile this list not by simply repeating the EPA-tested range provided by General Motors and other automakers, but instead by testing the vehicles on a full charge. And this week, the list has a new leader: the Chevrolet Silverado EV Work Truck.
According to Edmunds, they drove a Silverado EV Work Truck with a Max Range battery pack for 539 miles on a full charge, which is 47 miles over its EPA-estimated range of 492 miles on a full charge. Note that the actual range consumers achieve will vary based on multiple factors, including ambient temperature, terrain, battery age and condition, loading, and how you use and maintain your vehicle.
Edmunds wasn’t trying to max out the range but instead tried to simulate actual usage patterns. They aimed for a mix of 60% city and 40% highway driving, with an average speed of 40 MPH. They started from Edmunds HQ in Santa Monica, California, and stayed within 5 mph of all posted speed limits, returning to the office with 7 miles of range remaining.

Get to the Top: Jeep® Performance Parts Unveils Rooftop Tent Concept at Overland Expo West
Today at the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, Jeep® Performance Parts (JPP) by Mopar announced an innovative, conceptual camping solution for the Jeep Wrangler by unveiling the Awning and Rooftop Tent (ARTT) concept.
Designed specifically for the four-door Jeep Wrangler, the ARTT concept was created in partnership with Dometic, a global market leader in the mobile living industry, to provide a premium, lightweight, low-profile, all-in-one awning and rooftop tent system.
Rooftop tents continue to grow in popularity, but poor aerodynamics and added high-mounted weight often present a challenge for overlanding enthusiasts. Constructed with a carbon-fiber shell, the aerodynamic and lightweight ARTT concept eliminates the need for a heavy roof rack system by efficiently and safely attaching directly to the Jeep Wrangler's roof.
Easily folded into the ARTT’s lightweight, aerodynamic, carbon-fiber shell, the ARTT concept includes an easy-to-pitch tent using Dometic’s AIR Frame Inflation technology and an integrated awning that swings out 270 degrees. Inside the tent, there is room for a queen-size mattress.
